Is Spinal Decompression Making Back Surgery For Herniated And Bulging Discs Obsolete?

Thursday, January 12th, 2012

Since offering treatment for herniated and bulging discs with spinal decompression therapy in San Diego, we have heard over and over things like “I can’t believe I was actually thinking about surgery. But when I got the results of my MRI and I had multiple herniated discs, my other doctor said it was my only choice. If it wasn’t for the news special they had on ABC News with Carol LeBeau and your free reports (with all the proof!), I never would have known about spinal decompression and I’d probably still be suffering today. It feels great to be finally pain free and NOT have to go through surgery – but why didn’t my other doctor know about ABS and DRX9000 Spinal Decompression and send me to you first? When he said there were no other scientifically proven treatments and surgery was my only option, it made me much more skeptical about what you said about spinal decompression in San Diego. It was hard for me to believe that there was such an amazing breakthrough treatment out there and my doctor didn’t know anything about it. Why wasn’t I given ALL the information right from the beginning? That’s why I went to my doctor in the first place! I just wonder how many people go through unnecessary surgery and continue suffering simply from misinformation and fear?”

There may not be an answer to the question. But it is known that there are a lot of people suffering and having unnecessary surgeries. And the most important thing is if you are suffering with back pain, leg pain, leg numbness, tingling and/or pain, sciatica or if you have been diagnosed with a herniated and/or bulging disc there is a very good chance you can get help without drugs or surgery. And the fact of the matter is there is scientific proof that the Spinal Decompression System has achieved an 86% success rate with herniated and/or bulging discs.
Surgery cannot even come close to claiming those kinds of results. I have seen some studies claiming surgery gets a 50% success rate.

According to a U.S. Federal guideline on low back pain, “Surgery has been found to be helpful on only 1 in 100 causes of low back pain problems. Even having a lot of back pain does not, by itself, mean you need surgery.” That’s coming from a panel of experts commissioned by the United States Federal Government! What the panel of experts found and reported in that guideline was quite eye-opening to say the least. Here’s the reference if you’d like to take a look at it for yourself: Bigos s, et al. Acute Low Back Pain Problems In Adults, Clinical Practice Guidelines No 14. Rockville, MD: U.S. Public Health Service, U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services, AHCPR pub. No 95-0642, Dec. 1994.

But here’s what I’m really shocked about: so many patients tell me they were “afraid” to try the ABS Spinal Decompression, they were “afraid” not to get surgery, they were told and believed they would be taking a risk trying the ABS before going under the knife. For the life of me, I can’t understand how cutting into your back and either cutting away the herniated or bulging part of your disc or surgically fusing a couple of your spinal segments can be thought of as an option before trying drx 9000 spinal decompression therapy in San Diego.

This is not to say surgery is never an option. In some cases it is. But, in many cases, it clearly should not be your first and only option. With spinal decompression, in many cases, your herniated disc is actually fixed – not cut out or fused. Spinal decompression achieves this through its cutting edge computer technology. This computer technology creates a logarithmic curve that senses your body an amazing 17 times per second. When the spinal decompression machine starts to distract your injured spinal segments, if your muscles begin to contract, the computer knows instantly and backs off slightly.

The computer picks up even the slightest amount of pressure from your muscles which is why treatments are painless and most patients say they don’t feel anything at all. Many even fall asleep during treatments while they are listening to their favorite music or watching a DVD movie. This distraction process continues until a negative pressure is achieved and the herniated disc is, in many cases, sucked back into place. Pre and post MRI studies have actually shown that herniated disc material has gone back into place and discs have increased in size and become much healthier. This negative pressure also allows valuable water and nutrients to flow into the disc so it can regain height and heal naturally.

As opposed to surgery that cuts out the herniated disc – leaving it damaged and predisposed to further injury. This is also much different from regular traction which has been shown to be ineffective at treating herniated and bulging discs. Dr. Michael Pritsker, a chiropractor at New Century Spine Centers in San Diego specializes in the treatment of disc injuries using advanced spinal decompression technology. Dr. Mike Pritsker has been practicing in San Diego since 2000 and has been specializing in spinal decompression therapy since 2002. Chiropractor In San Diego Reveals New Spinal Decompression Therapy Protocol To Eliminate Back And Neck Pain

Friday, November 4th, 2011

Back and neck pain can be potentially debilitating conditions for many individuals. These conditions will strike millions of Americans this year alone. Many of them will suffer for the rest of their lives due to incorrect information from friends and bad care from doctors.  The good news is that San Diego chiropractic doctor Dr. Mike Pritsker is sharing little known secrets that are helping thousands of people live pain free and enjoy their life. And best of all, the spine treatment program doesn’t involve risky medication and dangerous surgery.

Reality is most of us are all influenced by slick commercials that sell neck and low back pain medicine. That’s why we keep our medicinal cabinets, handbags, and car glove compartments fully stocked with all the stuff.  As a matter of fact, they now sell pain medication at Costco and Walmart in huge quantities.  People go down the aisles and toss a case in their shopping cart like it’s a bag of potato chips or a 12 pack of beer. And of course drug companies don’t tell the causes of neck and low back pain because they know that they sell medication to cover up the symptoms and to really treat the cause of the condition.

There are many different options for the treatment of neck and low back pain. Some of these options include but are not limited to chiropractic care, massage therapy, acupuncture, physical therapy, medicine, and spine surgery. Many of these options unfortunately may not work for people suffering from back and neck pain that is related to disc injuries such as disc rupture and disc bulges. Many people unfortunately end up turning to risky spine surgery to help their back problems. Others may opt for spinal injections consisting of Cortisone and Epidurals which only offer short term relief. They soon discover that it just masks the problem by covering up the symptoms while the condition worsens all along.

There are safer and better options for eliminating back and neck pain. Many people suffering from back pain and leg pain are turning to New Century Spine Centers in San Diego to learn about advanced spinal decompression therapy and specialized chiropractic care to fix their spinal condition. On their website, visitors can watch videos of San Diego’s spinal decompression chiropractor Dr. Michael Pritsker, DC revealing his revolutionary technology on special television appearances on Fox6 news and channel 10 news. Many people are finding the solution to their back and neck pain with Dr. Michael Pritsker’s revolutionary treatment program.

Spinal decompression therapy has been successfully treating back and leg pain for over a decade. Since 2001, Dr. Mike Pritsker has helped thousands of people live pain free and enjoy their life free from pain. Spinal decompression treatment with specialized chiropractic treatment in San Diego has worked for conditions like sciatica, leg pain, cramps, spinal stenosis, muscle spasms, neuralgia, disc bulges, arthritis, facet syndrome, and disc herniations. It even has worked in some cases when all else has failed. Back pain not only causes back and leg pain. It causes other conditions like depression, lost days from work, and can seriously impact someone’s lifestyle. Getting the proper treatment for the condition is important to get the best results. And it’s not a matter of what kind of spinal decompression machine the doctor uses. There are several available. There are the DRX9000, ABS, Triton, Vax-D and more. It’s more important to choose the best back doctor to properly utilize the equipment.

The Chiropractors Of New Century Spine Centers in San Diego Announce New Affordable Treatment For Back Pain, Sciatica, Numbness, and Whiplash.

Monday, April 18th, 2011
Spinal decompression therapy and chiropractic care are great options for the treatment of back and leg pain, but the price tag may be too hard for some to afford. Dr. Michael Pritsker is one of the chiropractors at New Century Spine Centers. The chiropractors at the San Diego office are now making it more affordable than ever for those suffering from disc pain and injury to get the treatment they need without breaking the bank. In this struggling economy, finding the right chiropractor at the right cost is very important.
Spinal disc bulges and disc herniations can cause conditions such as sciatica, thoracic outlet syndrome, leg pain, numbness, neuralgia, neuropathy, back pain and more. Some of the most common treatment options for these conditions are chiropractic care, massage therapy and spinal decompression therapy with the DRX900 and similar machines. For some people with disc degeneration, these options have been described by some as a miracle and the treatment that eliminated all their pain and solved their problem. Unfortunately for some, the cost of treatment is more than they can bear and patients are left suffering in pain. With insurance companies covering less treatment options and insurance premiums going up every year, there must be more affordable options.
Dr. Carissa Hang, DC states “many times we have a patient who we know we can help, but sometimes affording the treatment for them can be the most difficult.” With the high technology for the newer back pain treatment equipment, of course comes higher price tags. And with insurance companies paying less and less, the end result is that the patient ends up having to cover the cost.
Dr. Michael Pritsker, DC and the other chiropractors at New Century Spine Centers are teaming up with other health professionals to find ways to help patients suffering from back and leg pain get the treatment they need. There are primarily three effective treatment options for sciatica and arthritis, but many patients may find it difficult to afford regular care. These three treatment options are chiropractic care, spinal decompression therapy, and massage therapy.
Chiropractic care in San Diego by licensed chiropractors is a great treatment option for those suffering from whiplash from a car accident, sciatica from disc injury, arm pain from thoracic outlet syndrome, and back pain from sprains and strains. The chiropractors at San Diego’s New Century Spine Centers try to assist many patients to help make their chiropractic care affordable by being in network on many insurance plans including Blue Shield, Blue Cross, Aetna, United Healthcare, Cigna, American Specialty Health Plans and more. They also offer affordable financing and monthly payment options. New Century Spine Centers also offers an affordable initial exam to find out if you are a candidate for chiropractic care. The first visit can be as low as $17 with a coupon that can be printed off their website.
Spinal decompression therapy has been shown to be an effective treatment option for degenerative disc disease, sciatica, herniated discs, bulging discs, back pain, facet syndrome, whiplash, numbness and tingling. Compared to spinal disc surgery, spinal decompression can be an affordable treatment option costing thousands less than spinal fusion. At www.BackCareTreatment.com, those suffering from back and neck pain can get more information about chiropractic care and spinal decompression therapy.
Massage therapy in San Diego is a great treatment option for muscle spasms, tension, stress, headaches, sprains and strains. Massage is an effective form of therapy, but regular massage therapy can end up being costly. With more and more Chinese reflexology massage centers popping up throughout San Diego, massage is becoming more affordable than ever. However, making sure that you get the right massage for your condition can become difficult. The chiropractors at New Century Spine Centers have searched throughout San Diego for the best and most affordable massage center and they recommend the upcoming Happy Head Foot Reflexology and Massage center in Hillcrest. Their price for a foot reflexology massage is only $29 and they will be working closely with chiropractors and other health professionals to offer the best and right massage. Their website for more massage information in San Diego is http://www.HappyHeadMassage.com. They are scheduled to open in June 2011.
New Century Spine Centers is located in the mission valley area of San Diego. The chiropractors have decades of experience and have collectively treated thousands of patients. They have set up a toll free 24 hour recorded line for those interested in getting a free report detailing some of the latest and advanced therapies to get rid of back, neck and leg pain. The number is 1-888-611-2042. To reach New Century Spine Centers directly, those interested in the treatment of back pain can call 619-630-9153. The chiropractors at New Century Spine Centers are paving the way to help make the treatment of back pain more affordable than ever.

San Diego Chiropractic Care Techniques Are Offering Hope For Headache Victims

Sunday, April 3rd, 2011
Dr. Mike Pritsker, a chiropractor at New Century Spine Centers in San Diego is offering new hope for people with terrible headaches and neck pain. Dr. Michael Pritsker uses a new Triton spinal decompression technology that is now available for the treatment of neck spasms, disc injuries, neck disc bulges, and headaches.
A large number Americans suffer from headaches. These can be tension headaches all the way to migraines and cluster headaches. Headaches can affect your physical state in such a way that it affects your activities of daily living and the way you function. Not only can headaches cause the actual pain in your head, but they can also cause other symptoms such as nausea, eye pain, fatigue, and sensitivity to light and sound. Many headaches are often treated with medication, which can only give short-term relief. Unfortunately, after the effect of the drug wears off, then you get to experience the same headache that you had before you took the medication. Sometimes you wonder whether there is a way to completely fix this problem totally, instead of just relying on these short-term drugs that only mask the symptoms.
So how does specialized chiropractic care and cervical spinal decompression help patients with headaches and migraines? Many times headaches can result from a misalignment of the spinal vertebrae in the neck and mid back. Sometimes the headaches can also be caused by damage in the neck to the disc structure. This misalignment can cause the muscles of the upper shoulder and neck to become tight. This combination of misaligned vertebrae and tight muscles can cause compression on nerves, which can then cause a headache.
Chiropractic treatment in San Diego for headaches involves realigning the vertebrae of the neck and upper back. Spinal decompression addresses the disc problem in the neck. By correcting the misalignment with proper chiropractic care, the neck and shoulder muscles can then relax and get rid of the pain. Correcting these issues can then relieve the pressure on the nerves, which can then relieve the headache. Chiropractic treatment can also involve treating the tight muscles with massage therapy or electronic muscle stimulation, which can further facilitate the relief of the headaches.
For those that suffer with long-term headaches or migraines, consistent chiropractic care can decrease the amount of episodes a person may suffer. Spinal decompression may fix the condition permanently. If there are nerves somewhere in the neck area that have been irritated or blocked for a long time, then they receive fewer and fewer stimuli as time goes on. Consistent chiropractic care by a professional specialized chiropractor can relieve the pressure on these nerves so that the migraine sufferer can get less and less attacks as time goes by. Eventually, the body will continue to maintain this corrected state, thus the problem is then fixed for the long-term.
Nothing is worse than having a terrible headache. Bad headaches are one of the most debilitating pains that someone can suffer. So if you are tired of just taking pills that only cause the symptoms to subside for a short time, then trying out new things like chiropractic and spinal decompression can be your best option. Finding a reliable chiropractor can be as quick as asking family or friends who they recommend. New Century Spine Centers is located in San Diego. They can be reached by calling 619-630-9153.headache pain

Exercise Possibly Worsening Back Problems.

Friday, March 25th, 2011
I regularly look for new technologies in back pain. I was just surfing around the internet and found something very interesting. I typed in “back pain cure” and got thousands of matches. Which I found interesting because if there actually were so many “cures”, there wouldn’t be anyone left with any pain!
But we all know most of these “cures” are coming from opportunity seekers just trying to separate you from your money. The first thing that’s a dead give-away is when someone offers a cure for ALL back pain. Just like there is no ONE magical diet that works for everyone…there is no ONE solution for ALL cases of back pain.
Back pain can be complex, have more than one cause and, therefore, need more than one solution or treatment. For example I came across one web site that claimed he had the ultimate cure for back pain. This guy had supposedly cured his own back pain with a “special” set of exercises. Exercises, he claimed, would cure everyone’s back pain. Exercises he would give you – for a hefty price! I did a little Google search and found this guy had also suffered with carpal tunnel syndrome and had found the cure which he sold. He also suffered with headaches that he cured and sold the cure. Then there was his shoulder pain cure…I think you get the point.
Just for kicks, I ordered this guy’s “special” exercises. What a joke. They were nothing more than a mix of 6th grade gym class exercises with a few wrestling stretches. Attempting to do some of these “special” exercises, if you have a herniated or bulging disc, could leave you crippled on the floor. And that’s the problem with most people pushing exercises as a cure for back pain. They think all back pain is caused by weak or inflexible muscles.
Which may be PART of the problem but if you have a herniated or bulging disc that is NOT where you should start. Take this as an example. If the front end of your car goes out of alignment – what happens to your tires? They wear unevenly, right? So what do you do? Do you drive your car a special way to try to fix the alignment? Do you work on the parts of your car supporting the alignment? Or do you get the alignment fixed?
The same is true with your back pain. When you have a herniated and/or bulging disc, your spine is injured and does not work properly. The more you use it, the more abnormal stress is put on your spine and discs, and the more damage you will cause. Exercise will NOT fix a herniated disc! But, if you are treated on the spinal decompression system and the herniation is healed PROPERLY and then and only then does it make sense to exercise to strengthen and stretch the area.

Discover Which Common Treatments Have Made Thousands of Back Pain Sufferers Worse and In More Pain

Monday, February 28th, 2011
If you’ve ever tried a treatment for your severe back pain in spite of knowing in your gut or back of your mind that it was NOT going to work…this article is for you.
You’re part of growing group of San Diego and surrounding area severe back pain sufferers who continue to give their all in trying to find a solution to their severe and debilitating back and disc pain…sometimes even going against their better judgment all for the promise of being able to get back to a “normal and active life.”
This is what is referred to as the great back and disc pain hoax. It’s the promise of relief that either defy science, common sense, or both. The saddest part of this hoax is that in virtually in every case the promises made by doctors and therapists are not made with malice or bad intentions. Quite the contrary, they’re made with a deep desire to help. And unfortunately that desire sometimes results in excessive enthusiasm which leads to promises that can’t be fulfilled.
Some people turn to spine surgery in the hopes of eliminating their back pain. But surgery can be risky and you run the risk of long term disability. Others opt for injections of Cortisone and Epidurals for short term relief but they soon discover that it just masks the problem by covering up the symptoms while the condition worsens.
Low back pain is potentially debilitating and will strike millions of Americans this year. As a result, many of them will suffer for the rest of their lives due to misinformation and inappropriate care!  That’s the bad news. The good news is that you don’t have to continue suffering! If you suffer from arthritis, visit www.ArthritisHealthCenter.com to find out how to eliminate your pain. If you suffer from back pain due to spinal stenosis, disc problems, sciatica, or disc degeneration, then keep reading. If you’re among the millions of Americans with lower back pain, especially with pain radiating down the legs, you may have a serious condition called disc herniation. Up until now there has not been a treatment available which provides a successful answer for pain as result of bulging and herniated discs, degenerative disc disease and failed back surgery. Sometimes chiropractic is an option. But there’s a new treatment you might want to check out before committing to surgery.
Low back problems are a common cause of disability. And to make things worse, despite various treatments of medication, heat, ice, exercise, manipulation, physical therapy, rest, acupuncture, and others, many people are still suffering. Often, back pain sufferers resort to spinal decompression surgery, which can have devastating results. The introduction of advanced spinal decompression, cold laser therapy and arthritis relief therapy offers back pain victims a safe effective treatment for eliminating their back pain once and for all.
Imagine how your life would instantly change if you discovered the solution to your back pain. The powerful new space age technology that has the potential to be that solution for you is advanced drx 9000 non-surgical spinal decompression.
Drx9000 spinal decompression treatment is FDA cleared, covered by many insurance companies, and much more affordable than surgery. That is no longer the case as new back pain treatment options are successfully fixing back problems.

Since offering treatment for herniated and bulging discs with advanced spinal decompression DRX9000, ABS, Triton, and cold laser treatment procedures, the chiropractors have heard over and over things like “I can’t believe I was actually thinking about surgery because my doctor told me it was my only choice. Thanks to your treatment I am finally pain free. If it wasn’t for the news special they had about your treatment I never would have known about the treatment and probably still would be suffering today.”

Spinal decompression therapy is a non-surgical, non-invasive treatment for certain types of chronic back and neck pain that works by slowly and gently stretching the spine, taking pressure off compressed discs and vertebrae. People with significant low back and neck pain, sciatica, lower and upper extremity pain, numbness and tingling are being helped by this procedure, often when medications, injections or back surgery have failed. The spinal decompression program at New Century Spine Centers has been successful in treating some of the following conditions:

  • Spinal stenosis
  • Bulging/herniated discs
  • Pinched nerves
  • Degenerative disc disease
  • Sciatica and radiating leg pain
  • Low back and neck pain

Damage or deterioration of the spinal disks due to wear and tear from age or by physical stress from car accidents results in severe back pain since pressure is put on the spinal cord or spinal nerves. Symptoms may include numbness or sharp pains, either near the site of the damaged disk or even down through the legs or arms. Other symptoms from back problems may include weakness, muscle spasms, balance problems, and poor posture.

Advantages of the advanced spinal decompression, cold laser, and spinal arthritis relief programs at New Century Spine Centers include:

  • Return to normal activities quickly
  • Almost 100% of patients stated they would recommend New Century facility
  • Non-surgical and drug free
  • Safe and painless procedures
  • Long term and permanent results
  • Advanced alternative to spinal surgery

Chiropractor Reveals How Some Exercise Programs Increase Pain And The New Spinal Decompression Treatment Available For Back Pain.

Tuesday, November 30th, 2010

New Year’s Exercise Resolution Programs To Lose Weight Can Leave People In Pain Due To Spinal Problems. Many Are Concerned To Start An Exercise Program Because Of Their Discouraging Back And Neck Pain.  Spinal decompression therapy and chiropractic care in San Diego may put an end to the back pain. Those forced to quit because of frustrating back pain are finding new relief.

The spinal doctors at the chiropractic office in San Diego have been successfully helping people get out of pain and back into the shape they’ve always dreamt about.  They’ve literally helped hundreds of people in San Diego and California solve their pain and get back on track. Some had suffered miserably for years.  Many back pain sufferers tried medical doctors, physical therapy, acupuncture, massage, pain pills, and yoga. Many times, nothing seems to work.  Many had given up hope altogether until the back pain specialists at New Century Spine Centers in San Diego introduced the spinal decompression technology.  At http://www.BackCareTreatment.com, people with back pain can watch the latest videos to fix their condition and undergo pain management.

There is a very good reason why many former neck and back pain victims due to disc injury are calling spinal decompression the cure they’ve been looking for.  This amazing medical breakthrough is responsible for cracking the neck and back pain code for hundreds of former pain sufferers in San Diego and around the world. Many previous patients with back pain and sciatica have tried all sorts of treatments. Many were told that there is nothing that can be done for them and they are just going to have to live with the pain.

There are primarily seven options for the treatment of neck and back pain. The first of the options is medication and pain management.  Whether medication is taken over the counter or prescribed, it all works in a similar fashion. Medication may temporarily ease pain and inflammation in the tissues surrounding the discs, but because discs don’t get an independent blood supply, medications will do nothing to heal the cause of the pain.

Other available options for back and neck pain are massage, acupuncture, and physical therapy. Massage is effective with muscle pain and dysfunction, and in some cases massage may ease the pain temporarily. However, massage simply can do nothing to change the cause of the problem when it is due to damaged and degenerated discs. Acupuncture has some success helping several different types of pain, but offers no solution to the cause of disc pain. Sticking a needle into the skin will do nothing for a bulging disc. Physical therapy uses exercises, which are simply contraction of muscles. Contracting muscles around a bulging or herniated disc can actually make the bulge or herniation worse by creating more pressure on the disc and pushing the weakened and injured disc material further out toward the nerves making the problem worse.

Chiropractic is a treatment option that is incredibly successful with a multitude of conditions, especially neck or low back pain. In fact, studies show chiropractic to be a very effective treatment for conditions of neck or low back pain. When dealing with disc injuries however, chiropractic is best utilized together with spinal decompression therapy.

Spinal surgery is also a common procedure for disc problems, spinal stenosis and disc injuries. The 3 most common types of surgery for disc injury are discectomy, laminectomy, and fusion. A discectomy is when a surgeon takes a knife and cuts away the part of the disc that is bulging or herniating out pinching the nerves. In some cases this offers some short term relief as the physical pressure is temporarily off the nerves. The problem with this is the part of the disc that is cut out is the outer rings and this weakens the disc causing more problems. The pain returns because the problems were not addressed properly. A laminectomy is when the surgeon takes a tool and grinds the bone back away from the nerve. This may take pressure off the nerve itself. The problem is that bone grows back! Spinal fusion is another option for spinal stenosis but the results can be very poor.

Back Doctors In San Diego Utilize Spinal Decompression Therapy To Get Rid Of Back Pain

Friday, November 26th, 2010

Spinal decompression therapy is a type of nonsurgical spinal therapy that is also noninvasive. It is used to treat severe and chronic back pain that is a result from different types of spinal conditions. Some of these back pains are caused because of pressure that is exerted by an expanded spinal disc to the spinal nerves.

Back pain can also be a result of several arthritic issues. It turns out that there are many different health conditions that could be benefited from this type of treatment. Many patients find quick relief from this type of therapy.

Spinal decompression chiropractors in San Diego use spinal decompression therapy to treat various types of conditions. Of all the different types of conditions that spinal decompression therapy could help, a herniated and bulging disc is the most common. When the spinal disc is herniated, it exerts a lot of pressure on the spinal nerves; this health condition results in a lot of excruciating pain. The decompression treatment will relieve the pressure from the expanded or damaged disk and allows it to go back to its normal size.

Degenerative disc disease is another common condition that requires back treatment. Spinal bodies can be compressed when there is a loss of disc height. This is caused by spinal compression. When there is too much compression, the surrounding nerves can be constricted which leads to back pain. Spinal decompression therapy can help to alleviate the pressure on the degenerative discs, helping to alleviate the back.
